Awarded to an outstanding business with a proven track record of consistent commercial success. The businesses must show it has a vision for growth, strong leadership with professional management and talent developments at all levels

Criteria
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Irish Business of the Award Year Award
  • How did the business start and what were the key stages of its progress, please state how your business has made or is likely to make a difference in the West Midlands region.
  • Describe your business in terms of your core product or service areas and key markets you serve.
  • How do you manage and monitor the success of your business
  • Provide a summary of financial expectations for the next 12 months and future plans for the business
  • Provide details of the business’s corporate social responsibility and equality diversity and social inclusion policies and objectives
  • Does the business undertake any charitable activities ?

Entrepreneur of the Year

Overview

Awarded to outstanding individual(s) who has/have shown flair and drive in developing a business

Criteria
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Entrepreneur of the Award Year Award
  • State why you/ the nominee merits the Entrepreneur of the Year award ?
  • Provide a brief background on your company relating to your submission
  • Outline future plans for the business
  • Provide details of the business’s corporate social responsibility and equality diversity and social inclusion policies and objectives
  • Does the business undertake any charitable activities ?

Construction, Property Development and Management Business of the Year

Overview

Awarded to an outstanding business in building and construction management services sector to include property investment, surveyors and contractors

Criteria
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Construction, property development and management Business of the Award Year Award
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Irish Business of the Year Award
  • Provide details of the projects you have worked on or working on which will make or are likely to a significant difference to the West Midlands region either in a lead or supporting role.

Overview

Awarded to a healthcare professional who has contributed to the region’s wellbeing

Criteria
  • Describe why you are worthy of the Healthcare Professional of the Year Award
  • Describe why you have nominated or been nominated for the Healthcare Professional of the Year Award.
  • Provide a brief history of your career and the key stages of your career development.
  • State how you have contributed to the region’s wellbeing and healthcare provision with focus on the period during the COVID 19 pandemic.

Hospitality Business Award

Overview

Presented to an outstanding business which has shown entrepreneurial flair in sustaining and developing the business showing strong leadership and offers excellent customer services

Criteria
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Hospitality Business of the Year Award
  • Provide details of your business and a short note on how they have growth/ expanded
  • What sets your business apart from your competitors
  • How many people does your business employ
  • Outline future plans for your business
  • Provide details of the business’s corporate social responsibility and equality diversity and social inclusion policies and objectives
  • Does the business undertake any charitable activities ?

Family Business of the Year Award

Overview

Awarded to a family office with a proven track record. The family business has invested in successful projects

Criteria
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Family Business of the Award Year Award
  • Please describe in 200 words the history of the business and the family heritage
  • What is the succession plan for future generation of the family
  • Provide details of the projects you have worked on or working on which will make or are likely to a significant difference to the West Midlands region either in a lead or supporting role.
  • Describe the current business in terms of core product or service areas and key markets you serve
  • How do you monitor the success of the business
  • Provide a summary of financial expectations for the next 12 months and future plans for the business
  • Give an example of your commitment to corporate social responsibility and equality diversity and social inclusion polices and objectives

Community & Cultural Organisation of the Year

Overview

Awarded to an outstanding charitable foundation which has had a positive and lasting impact for the public good. Judges will look at the social impact and strategic longevity of the organisation.

Criteria
  • Describe why your business or the business you are nominating is worthy of the Community & Irish Culture Organisation of the Award Year Award
  • Provide details of how the organisation supports the community and/or provides cultural support for the West Midlands region
  • Describe the impact of projects pursued by the organisation / how many people have benefited from the work undertaken by the business
  • Please provide financial details to support the nomination
  • Outline future projects
  • Give an example of your commitment to corporate social responsibility and equality diversity and social inclusion polices and objectives.

Personality of the Year

Overview

Awarded to a personality who stands out from the crowd and has shown high level of commitment and enthusiasm in promoting and supporting the Irish Community in the West Midlands

Criteria
  • Please state why you/ the nominee merits the personality of the Year
  • Provide a brief history of your commitment in promoting and supporting the Irish community in the region
  • Please outline future objectives for your work in supporting the Irish community in the region.

Educator of the Year Award

Overview

Awarded to an outstanding person working in education who has demonstrated remarkable work, commitment and achievements of school and academics across the region.

Criteria
  • Describe why you have been nominated for the educator of the Year award
  • Showcase the ways in student’s outcomes have been improved and adapted to the challenges presented by the Covid- 19 pandemic
  • Demonstrate a positive impact on pupil/ student experience
  • Please provide details of future plans

Lifetime Achievement Award
